Clustering part II

Week 11 Day 1:

1. Today we will have a ‘temperature check’ to see how everyone is doing in the class, and where we are going next (Tophat)
2. Then, instead of moving on to PCA we will continue our work with cluster analysis
3. If you got a 0 on the homework, recall you need to re-submit by Thursday during office hours and you need to resubmit DURING office hours. So that we can change your grade right then and there! Making sure your grades are on track is your responsibility.

• go over homework assignment before we dive in today
• final project timeline updates:
  • the last week of class you will work as a group in class, attendance is required, and I will be able to answer any final questions before the project deadline
  • project presentations will be during FINALS (more updates to come, we have to find rooms)
• PCA decision: we will cover PCA at the end of the class in a few weeks. Maps next week, followed by text data, then PCA (see syllabus online)
